Mechanical Completion

Mechanical Completion of systems shall mean that all installation works of the Process plant have been completed and hydro tested in accordance with approved construction drawings, approved specification, applicable code as defined in the bid package issued for tendering, accepted international good engineering practices and all the activities have been completed in a comprehensive and systematic manner by the Contractor except for minor mutually agreed leftover works of insulation and painting which may be completed during pre-commissioning phase.

All statutory approval including IBR etc. shall be obtained by Contractor as part of their mechanical completion. Contractor's competent representative shall check the system/sub-system so that system/sub-system meets the process and operability requirement and is constructed as per the approved construction drawings.

After liquidating the checklist, generated by Contractor's/Client competent representative, Contractor/Client shall submit certificate mentioning the system/subsystem which are mechanically completed. Checklist generated by Contractor/Client representative and test certificates connected with the system/sub-system will form a part of the Format-1/br>
I various statutory bodiesfor relevant portion shall be made available by the Contractor as part of mechanical completion. Client representative shall check the system along with Contractor's/Client representative and shall issue FORMAT-II which includes deficiencies / modifications required for the portion of the work that is declared by the Contractor as mechanically complete.

The Process unitshall also be checked by licenser representatives. Contractor/cLIENT should be required to liquidate punch list/checklist items of the licenser checklist. Contractor shall liquidate all the checklist points agreed between Contractor / Client and issue certificate in form of FORMAT - III.
